The Dutch mobilization period was a time during which many events were captured on film. This month, five different playlists on YouTube take center stage as part of the monthly article, with the theme The Dutch Mobilization Brought to Life in Images.
- The first playlist, titled Mobilization in Images, showcases historical footage depicting what the mobilization period looked like in 1939–1940.
- The second playlist, Experiences of the Mobilization, features interviews and stories from soldiers, civilians, families, and survivors. These accounts highlight how the mobilization period, the May days, and the demobilization were experienced, offering a fascinating insight into this extraordinary time.
- The third playlist, The Mobilization Explained, includes videos that explain the mobilization period, the May days, and the demobilization. These explanatory videos provide a clear understanding of the events during this era.
- The fourth playlist, Mobilization Reenacted, presents videos in which reenactments bring the Dutch mobilization to life.
- The final playlist, Mobilization & Media, focuses on how the mobilization period, the May days, and/or the demobilization are portrayed in the media today.
